Import
DAZzle Log
- Import
DAZzle Log imports shipping data from the DAZzle's backuped Postage
Log file, and adds them to Mail Extractor.
The imported data are:
- Shipping Address
- Shipping Date
- Shipping Method
- Tracking ID
In order to successfully use this feature, you have to learn the
whole process how to achieve the expected result. Here's the steps:
1. Click in Mail Extractor on the DAZzle button to export addresses
from messages as a CSV file. In version 3.5, Order# is also exported
with address.

2. In DAZzle's Address Book click on Import
(in the menu), and choose the CSV file that you've just created
with Mail Extractor. When the Options window opens, remap the
fields so that Title in the left list corresponds to Title in the right
list, and then press OK.

The imported addresses
now fills the "Job Title" field with Order#, as shown on the
picture:

3. Go to File -> Preferences in DAZzle,
and make sure that "Include Job Title in address" is checked.
This is inevitable to achieve the wanted result.

4. Print postage with DAZzle and when finished, click
in DAZzle on Postage -> Postage Log, and then click the Backup
button.
In the Backup window, select "Export"
and in the bottom field enter a location where you want to save your
DAZzle Log file.
Every shippment address in the exported Log file now also has Order#
of each shippment. The Order# is the key which links data between
DAZzle and Mail Extractor.
5.
Now go back to Mail Extractor and click on Import DAZzle Log.
Select the Log file you've just exported from DAZzle. Press Open,
and Mail Extractor will fill the Shipping Method and Tracking#
fields.
Moreover, ME will internaly add Shippping Date and Shipping
Address to the bottom of the original message, as an extra data
which will be used later in Autoresponder.
6.
When sending the Order Shipped/Cancelled autoresponder
message, ME will detect if data were found in DAZzle's Log file for
the actual message. If true, that data will be used in the message,
and the whole autoresponder message will look like this:

However, if Mail Extractor finds no data in the DAZzle Log file
for a message,
then no link will be created, and only data that you manually enter
will be used.
